Company founder Laura Wolstein opened her first boutique in downtown Montreal with a dream: to help Canadian women look their best, through quality merchandise and exceptional service. Her daughter Gertrude and son-in-law Leonard Fisher continued to operate a single boutique with the help of other family members, until their son Kalman opened a second store in 1973, and eventually grew the company to the size it is today.
